Ear, nose and throat medicine (ENT) focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of conditions of the ears, nose, sinuses, throat, and voice apparatus. ENT problems may be acute, recurrent, or chronic and are often accompanied by changes in breathing, hearing, or voice.
During the consultation, the doctor examines the relevant organs and determines whether additional instrumental tests or hearing assessment are needed.

Assessment begins with an ENT examination. Depending on the symptoms, it may include otoscopy, instrumental examination of the nose and throat, hearing tests, or imaging studies. The doctor chooses the appropriate method for the clinical situation.
